Selena shrugged and gent;y lifted the little boy up. She cradled him against her chest and started speaking again, “He might have cooled down a bit. He’s still not thrilled that I get pregnant before we were married. I mean, I hope we get married some day, but he needs to understand that here is a possibility that we might not. I don’t think he wants to admit that and that is why he is so upset.”
“Oh, I guess that’s understandable. I mean, you had a purity ring when you were 17 or something, right?” He asked as he picked up Melody, considering she was awake now. He held her in his arms then looked back at Selena. “We should just have a family dinner one time. My parents come over with my sister and your parents come over. It would be nice and hopefully everything settles down a bit cause my mom is mad at me right now.”
She won’t stop crying!
Try feeding or changing her?
Before Selena could speak, their son started to whimper. She looked over at Nathan before leaning toward them. “Shh. It’s okay.” she reached in and softly stroked his arm with her thumb, trying to calm him down, “Shhh.”
“Well, isn’t that the cutest thing ever.” He said with a smile spread across his face from ear to ear. “Crap, I forgot to tell my mum that you’ve had them.” He said as he pulled out his phone to text his mum. After a few minutes of texting back and fourth to his mom and put his phone back into his pocket. “Mommas not happy that I didn’t tell her sooner, oops. By the way, has your dad cooled down? Cause I know a few months ago he probaby wanted to rip my head off.” He said, talking to Selena but not taking his eyes off of Melody and Preston.
We just had Melody and Preston for about an hour and we’ve already dressed them up as little red riding hood characters…
“Nath.” She groaned, slowly sitting up, “Number one. I thought we talked about asking them months ago. And number two. Who said we were even having anymore?”
“We did. I just never got around to it because I was with you.” He said as he looked over at the twins, making sure they’re ok. “I was only joking. But I do eventually want a third kid. But we can wait til the twins get older like 6 or 7 so let’s not worry about that now.”
Selena gently turned her head to face him, “Absolutely. Though I mean, that hurt like hell.” She bit her lip and looked back at the babies, “Did your management ever say anything about combining our tours?”
“I know it did. I won’t put you through that again for atleast another year.” He joked, knowing that they probaby won’t even be thinking about more for a long time. “I haven’t asked them yet. But I’m sure they will be ok with it.”
Hours later, Selena was resting completely exhausted, with two new children resting beside her. She was slightly smiling and half asleep. She was completely out of it. She didn’t even notice if Nathan was still in the room or not.
Nathan was still in shock that he had kids now, he didn’t know what to say or do at this point, the ony thing he could really do was sit there with a wide smile on his face, staring at his new family. “So, was the pain, sleepless nights, and morning sickness all worth it?” He asked, but trying not to speak to much cause he knew she was exhausted.
Selena carefully got out of the care, cursing, “I can’t do this. I- I can’t.” She continued breathing deep, trying to stay calm. The girl clutched to her boyfriend for dear life, needing him for support.
“Yes you can, it’s ok. It will all be over soon.” He said as put an arm around her back and the other holding her hand. Once she was out of the car he slammed the door shut with his foot and started walking into the hospita enterance with her, getting excited that the kids were finally on the way.
Selena took a few deep breaths, “I swear I wanna do something to them right now.” She hummed in pain and shifted in her seat, “I don’t know if I can do this for two babies. Fuck!” She screamed as another contraction hit.
“It’s ok babe. You can do it, you’re strong.” He said, trying to encourage her. As he heard her speak he went a little faster. Considering the road was almost empty he could go a little faster than usual. About ten minutes later, they finally arrived. Once he parked the car he went over to Selena’s side. He opened the door and held his hand out so he could help her.
